The Plymouth Harbour Runs

Fly the flag for mental health across Devon!

Run for better mental health!

The Plymouth Harbour Runs are Devon Mind’s flagship annual active challenge events — two unique community running challenges centred around Plymouth’s iconic Sutton and Cattewater Harbours. The events include a 10K run from Mount Batten to the Barbican and a half marathon from Yelverton to the Barbican. The events took place for the first time in 2022/23, raising more than £34,000 for local mental health services!

Two events, two routes:

Devon Mind’s Plymouth Harbour Runs include two events: the Plymouth Harbour 10K and the Plymouth Harbour Half. Both are designed to be as accessible as possible for casual runners and enthusiasts, with the 10K taking place before the Half to give those runners who want to challenge themselves an opportunity to ‘work up’ from the shorter to the longer challenge. Check out more information about the routes below:

The Plymouth Harbour 10K

Run around the harbour — An accessible route from Mount Batten to the Barbican, with scenic views along Cattewater Harbour, through Turnchapel and Ashery Wood, across Laira Bridge and around Sutton Harbour… plus a couple of challenging hills thrown in for good measure!

The Plymouth Harbour Half

Run back to the harbour — A mostly downhill 13.1 miles following the cycle path down from Yelverton to Plymouth, through Clearbrook and Plym Bridge Woods, out to Saltram Park via Coypool, then finishing off on Sutton Harbour… a great challenge for those new to half marathons!
