Why donate?
In England, 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem in any given year, and 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (like anxiety or depression) in any given week. The charity sector is vitally important to the recovery of many people, who often cannot access services anywhere else.
Devon Mind is affiliated with the national Mind association, but we are an independent charity in our own right — we are responsible for our own fundraising, our own service delivery, our own governance, and our own awareness-raising efforts. We rely on our amazing community to raise vital funds to help us keep doing the work we do — we could not do it without your help! Thank you for donating whatever you can.
How does my donation help?
By donating to Devon Mind, you are having a direct impact on the growth of the charity and our ability to help more people across Devon who are living with a mental health problem. Here are a few ways we might use your valuable contribution. (Note: All examples are for illustrative purposes only.)
could pay one of our volunteer's expenses for a day
could cover the cost of printing 50 leaflets for a GP surgery
could ensure we have our phone helplines open for an hour
could cover the costs of running one of our peer support groups
could pay for hosting a half-day workshop on managing anxiety
could pay for a whole series of six counselling sessions
How else can I donate?
If you do not want to donate online, you can do so using any of the following alternative methods:
Donate by text
To make a one-off donation, simply text DEVONMIND to 70450 to donate £5. Texts cost £5 plus one standard rate message.
To donate a different amount, state the amount after DEVONMIND to donate. For example, text DEVONMIND 10 to 70450 to donate £10.
To make a regular monthly donation of £5, text DEVONMINDREG to 70450. Each text costs £5 plus one standard rate message.
Donate by bank transfer
If would like like to make a direct bank transfer and ensure every penny of your donation or fundraising goes directly to us, just contact us and we'll send you our bank details.
Don't forget to put your name on the transfer as a payment reference so we can say thanks for your generous contribution to the cause!
Donate by cheque
To donate by cheque, make it payable to Devon Mind and mail it to our registered office:

Feel free to include a short cover note explaining why you've donated and include a return address, so that we can send you a letter thanking you for your contribution to Devon Mind.
