We are Devon Mind. Weโ€™re leading the fight for mental health across Devon. Our mission is to ensure that Devon is a place where people can enjoy good mental health and have the opportunity to reach their potential. If youโ€™re experiencing a mental health problem, it can often feel difficult figuring out who to ask for help. Devon Mind is here to listen, advise, and help you take the first steps to a life with better mental health.

 

Please note: Devon Mind does not operate a crisis service. If you are in need of urgent or out-of-hours support, please refer to our helpline page for support in a emergency.

 

What we do offer:

  • Support to develop skills and strategies to enable you to work towards improving your mental health and emotional wellbeing

  • Counselling support โ€” up to 20 sessions

  • Tailored, person-centred, strength-based, 1:1 support โ€” short-term (up to 5 sessions scheduled weekly or fortnightly)

  • Courses and workshops โ€” psychoeducation

  • Wellbeing activities to help promote physical and mental wellbeing, whilst building community connections

  • Monthly support groups

  • Support with connecting into local community activities and services

Counselling

Our low-cost counselling service currently offers up to 20 sessions of solution-based therapy with a distinct goal in mind.

Support groups

We run a number of monthly support groups for people experiencing mental health problems. Our groups currently take place in Plymouth.

Courses and workshops

We run a number of weekly courses and one-off workshops on a variety of subjects. Check our calendar to see whatโ€™s on offer.

Wellbeing activities

We host and endorse a number of community-based activities that aim to support positive mental wellbeing.

Weโ€™ll work with you to identify your individual support needs, to ensure that you receive the right support for you.
