Discover the Benefits of Cold Water Swimming

Join our weekly, free 55+ guided swim sessions at the stunning, enclosed Tinside Lido, where you'll be introduced to the invigorating world of cold water swimming.

Safe and Sound Swims are designed to boost your wellbeing, resilience, and connection to nature. Whether you've just learned to swim or are looking to deepen your practice, we invite you to join us and experience the physical and mental health benefits in a safe, supportive, and breathtaking coastal setting. The weekly sessions throughout the summer period will be led by expert swim instructors from Plymouth Active Leisure, and a certified Blue Health Coach from the Plymouth Sound National Marine Park.

Wednesdays 10am — 11:30am at Tinside Lido

Free due to project funding

Times: Meeting at 10:00am for a chat and free cuppa at Coffee Pod chat, 10:30am — 11:30am swimming session

Location: Tinside Lido, Hoe Road, Plymouth PL1 3DE (view on map)

The sessions are open to anyone over 55 years old, and a member of the Devon Mind team will also be in attendance.

These free sessions are made possible by funding provided by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Plymouth Sound National Marine Park, and Plymouth Active Leisure.
