BLOCK Plymouth selects Devon Mind as its Charity of the Year!

We’re pleased to share that BLOCK Plymouth, a popular co-working space located at Royal William Yard, has chosen Devon Mind as its official Charity of the Year for 2023.

Officially opened in 2022, BLOCK Plymouth is a beautiful co-working space based in the Melville building of Royal William Yard, right in the middle of the estate overlooking the marina. In addition to bookable offices and open-plan workspaces, BLOCK also features a cafe and bar, as well as its very own gym opened earlier this year. BLOCK Gym is open 24/7 and also offers classes.

Upon launching the partnership last week, BLOCK Plymouth announced:

As a company, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we operate and are proud to partner with Devon Mind in raising awareness and funds for this worthy cause.

Throughout the year, BLOCK will be undertaking various activities and initiatives to support us, including fundraising events, volunteering opportunities, and awareness campaigns. Staff are encouraging all employees and members to get involved and help them make a positive impact on the lives of people living with mental health problems in our community.

Speaking about the choice of Devon Mind, BLOCK’s Head of Marketing Lisa Brammer commented:

We are excited to partner with Devon Mind as our Charity of the Year for 2023. When discussing as a team which charity we wanted to support, it was a hands-down majority. Mental health is a vital issue, and we believe that everyone deserves access to the support and care they need. We look forward to working with the fantastic Devon Mind team to raise awareness and funds to support their essential work.

Andre Pusey, Marketing & Fundraising Manager at Devon Mind, added:

We’re really happy that BLOCK Plymouth has chosen Devon Mind as its charity for 2023. We’ve already discussed numerous exciting ideas for what we can do together, and the BLOCK team have all been very welcoming and accommodating. We think this will be a really great partnership and look forward to the opportunities the year will present.

BLOCK Plymouth has set up a JustGiving page for donations and hopes to raise £5,000. If you work for a local company anywhere in Devon that would like to partner with us, please get in touch.
