Mindful Movement: Walk & Talk

Weekly sessions every Thursday

Overview:

Following the success of our 6-week course, we are pleased to announce that we are now offering weekly Walk & Talk sessions in collaboration with Argyle Community Trust, as part of our Mindful Movement project.

Walking and connecting with others can benefit both our physical health and our mental wellbeing. Research has shown that walking in nature can:

  • improve our mood, confidence, and self-esteem

  • reduce loneliness and feelings of stress or anger

  • help us better manage our thoughts and allow us to focus on the present moment

  • increase relaxation and help us to feel more connected to our local community

Details:

Every Thursday, 12 noon at Central Park, Plymouth

The walks are suitable for most abilities, last for approximately 45-90 minutes, and predominantly take place around Central Park and surrounding areas. The route and duration of each walk are flexible, depending on group ability and the weather conditions. At the end of each walk, there is the option to go for a group tea or coffee. Our weekly walks are a great opportunity to connect with others while spending time outside in our local nature and you are welcome to bring along a friend. The walks are hosted by staff from Argyle Community Trust and a member of the Devon Mind team will be in attendance every other week.

The meeting point for the walk is outside the Plymouth Life Centre. (View on map)
