Exeter Social Club raises £4,600 for Devon Mind in 2025
We would like to share a huge thank you to Polsloe & Priory Social Club for supporting Devon Mind as their charity of the year and raising an incredible £4,600! The social club in Exeter held numerous fundraising events and activities throughout 2025 within their local community to help raise vital funds and awareness for better mental health and wellbeing.
Their amazing fundraising efforts included an Easter Egg raffle and a darts competition in April, a sponsored daily dog walk throughout May, a sponsored walk from Exeter to Exmouth on one of the hottest days in June, a brave sponsored head shave in September, plus much more! It has been wonderful to see the many engaging ways the community has supported our cause, and we were delighted to meet the team in-person for a cheque presentation and to hear more about their inspiring efforts and to extend our thanks and appreciation.
Devon Mind could not provide the services we do without the support of some amazing fundraisers — many thanks to Anthony, Kirsty, Lorraine, and all the team at Polsloe & Priory Social Club for supporting our mission during 2025 and raising such a significant amount of money that will enable many more people across our county to access the much-needed support they both need and deserve.
“Each year, Polsloe & Priory choose a local charity to raise money for, and 2025 was Devon Mind. Lots of events were planned throughout the year, kicking off with Anthony and the club’s dogs, called Polsloe and Priory, walking 2 miles every day for a month. We also held an Easter draw, with the eggs donated by the club and its members, all raising money for the charity.
We also held a couple of charity darts competitions and a sponsored walk by several female members and their friends, walking from Exeter to Exmouth. It was a long way, and yes, some blisters were gained along the way, but they had such fun. Some wore tutus, and they all wore their Mind T-shirts. Finally, a couple of the less able-bodied ladies had their heads shaved.
Over the year, we managed to raise £4,600, none of which would have been possible without the wonderful support of our members and customers digging deep, for which we are eternally grateful.”
