Devon Mind is looking for a friendly, organised, and dependable Business Support Assistant to join our Business Support Team. This varied role helps provide the reliable administration, welcoming communication, and practical support that enable our mental health services to run effectively.

You will support enquiries, appointments, records, and wider organisational administration while working closely with another Business Support Assistant. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works accurately, and communicates with warmth and sound judgement. The two postholders provide cover for one another and coordinate annual leave to maintain adequate Business Support cover. Role details:

This is a varied and hands-on role requiring someone who is organised, confident using IT and administrative systems, able to manage competing priorities and happy to turn their hand to different tasks as needed. The postholder will work closely with colleagues across Devon Mind and contribute to an efficient, welcoming and supportive organisation.

Salary: £14,152.32 per year

Hours: 21 hours per week, worked over three or four days (hours to be agreed)

Location: Office-based at Devon Mind, Plymouth Science Park, 1 Davy Road, Plymouth PL6 8BX — this is not a remote-working role

Contract: Permanent, subject to a three-month probationary period

Benefits: 23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (both pro rata), and NEST workplace pension
