New Mental Health & Recovery Drop-in Spaces launch across Plymouth
We are pleased to announce the expansion of our community Mental Health & Recovery Drop-in Spaces across Plymouth. From early next month, we will be co-hosting three new weekly drop-ins at Central Park Hub, Rees Family & Wellbeing Hub, and Sherwell United Church, creating more opportunities for people to access mental health and wellbeing support, advice, and signposting within their local community.
These new spaces are being delivered in partnership with the Devon Mental Health Alliance, building on the existing network of 18 Mental Health & Recovery Drop-ins currently available across Devon. A full list of drop-ins in your area can be found here.
As demand for mental health support continues to grow, these drop-in spaces aim to provide timely, accessible support for people who may otherwise face long waits to receive help. The Mental Health & Recovery Drop-ins are free, open-access, and available to anyone aged 18 and over. They are non-clinical spaces, meaning no appointment, referral, or formal diagnosis is required to attend.
The spaces are multi-agency supported, and sessions will also be attended by other local health and wellbeing organisations, offering additional advice, guidance, and practical support. Looking ahead, we also hope to introduce single-session interventions within the weekly spaces as part of our future development plans.
