8-week yoga course in Plympton

We are delighted to be launching our Mindful Movement 8-week yoga wellbeing course in Plympton next month. Join us for a weekly moment to press pause and come back to yourself. The course is designed to help you reconnect with your body, deepen your breath, and create weekly space for calm and self-care. After each session, stay for a coffee and chat — a chance to connect with others and extend the wellbeing practice into a community.

The course aims to provide opportunities to:

This beginner course is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in exploring yoga, looking for a new hobby to support their wellbeing, or wanting to meet new people and boost their confidence.

Course format:

Mindful Movement is an eight-week course consisting of 8 x 1.30-hour sessions (one per week). Each session will include 45-60 minutes of movement followed by an opportunity to have a drink and connect with others. This course is facilitated by a qualified yoga instructor and Recovery Practitioner. Participants are recommended to wear loose, comfortable clothing and to bring along a water bottle. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat to the session, or we will have some available for you to use.

Due to the anticipated demand, we are asking participants to commit to attending the 8 sessions. Registration and an upfront payment of £20 is required in order to join. This small fee helps support our continued sustainability in delivering services.

 

Please note: You do not have to be of any particular level of fitness or yoga experience to engage in this course.

The sessions are designed to be gentle, inclusive, and adaptable to all bodies.

  • The Mindful Movement course costs £20 to join. Register to secure your place.

  • Anyone in Devon aged 18 years or over is welcome to register for the course.

  • Attendance may vary, but to keep everyone comfortable, we aim for a group size of up to 12.

  • We are asking participants to commit to attending all 8 sessions. However, we understand that this might not be possible, and you might need to miss a session.

  • No, these sessions aren’t about perfect poses. Movements can be modified to suit your comfort and ability. The focus is on listening to your body and feeling good in the moment.

  • Not at all. These sessions are designed for beginners and experienced yogis alike. Everyone is encouraged to move at their own pace and explore what feels right for them.

  • Comfortable clothing you can move in, and water to stay hydrated. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat, or there will be some available for you to use.

  • You are invited to stay for a hot drink and chat after the session. It’s a chance to connect, share experiences, and explore your wellbeing practice in a community.
