Our Christmas opening hours, plus links to out-of-hours support services

Like many local organisations, Devon Mind will be closed for an extended period over Christmas and the New Year. However, there are still many local and national helplines open to support you during what can be one of the most difficult times of the year. Read on for our recommendations.

Devon Mind Christmas opening hours

  • Here at Devon Mind, we will be open as normal up to and including Thursday 16th December 2021.

  • Between Friday 17th and Thursday 23rd December 2021 (excluding weekends), we will be available by phone and email only.

  • Devon Mind will be closed and unavailable between Friday 24th December 2021 and Monday 3rd January 2022.

  • From Tuesday 4th January 2022 onwards, we will be back open as normal once again.

Out-of-hours support services

While Devon Mind might be closed, there are lots of support services which continue running as normal over Christmas and the New Year, including a range of 24/7 support lines for mental health crisis or advice. Here are some phone numbers and links to note:

  • First Response Service – Other Devon: 24/7 advice, support, and signposting. Call 0808 196 8708 (free from any phone).

  • Shout: National mental health text support service available 24/7/365. Text SHOUT to 85258 (free on all mobile networks).

  • YoungMinds: 24/7 mental health support line for young people. Text YM to 85258 (free on most major mobile networks).
