Coming soon: New Couch to 5K group!

We are excited to announce that Devon Mind, in association with Buxton Water, will be launching a new Couch to 5K group in September. The 12-week programme will be taking place in Plymouth, with the specific location yet to be confirmed. Our group is aimed at individuals who want to enhance their mental wellbeing through physical activity.

The sessions will provide a supportive environment, one that is friendly and inclusive, to help you work towards your goals. Whether your aim is to reduce stress, improve your mood, run a 5K, or meet new people. The programme will take you from Couch to 5K in 12 weeks, giving you the confidence to keep going, join a parkrun, or continue to run independently.

We are eagerly looking forward to hosting our beginner-friendly run group that will be led by a qualified run coach, alongside Devon Mind staff. Before we launch, we are inviting feedback and an expression of interest in which day/time people would be interested in joining, and have created a short questionnaire below where you can select your preferences.

Are you looking to start running but not sure where to begin? Want some friendly faces to keep you company?

  • No experience needed

  • Walkers, joggers, and run-walkers welcome

  • Meet new people, move your body, and feel good

Please note: you do not need to have any experience running or be at a certain level of fitness to attend. However, we advise that you need to be able to walk for 20 minutes before joining.
