Devon Mind Receives £4,000 Grant from The Hospital Saturday Fund
Last month, we were delighted to receive a £4,000 grant from The Hospital Saturday Fund (HSF), awarded at a special Charity Reception held at the University of Plymouth. The event brought together 25 charities from across the South West of England, with £113,000 awarded to support a wide range of vital community organisations. It was an inspiring opportunity to celebrate the work of the charities collectively, making a real difference across our region.
The reception included speeches from guest contributors, including Sonya Cassidy, actor and ambassador for Springboard Opportunity Group, who spoke about the importance of community, resilience, and supporting organisations that deliver meaningful change. The evening also included presentations from Professor Richard Davies, who attended alongside Paul Jackson, Group Chief Executive, and HSF Patron Lesley Garrett, who assisted in presenting the grants.
For Devon Mind, this generous funding will help support our ongoing work to improve mental health and wellbeing across our communities. The grant will help us continue delivering services that provide accessible, compassionate support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring that people can get the help they need, when they need it most.
We are extremely grateful to The Hospital Saturday Fund for their generosity and for recognising the importance of mental health support. It was a privilege to be part of such a positive event celebrating the work of charities across the South West, and we would like to thank HSF for their continued commitment to strengthening the voluntary and community sector.
