Short workshop introducing strategies to feel more in control

Workshop overview:

Feeling stressed? You’re not alone.

Life can often feel overwhelming — work, family, money, responsibilities, and everything in between. This workshop provides an opportunity to understand stress a little more and develop strategies that can help us manage our stress and feel a little more in control.

During the 90-minute session, we will explore:

  • What is stress

  • Causes of stress

  • How stress affects our bodies

  • Strategies for managing stress

Workshop format:

Understanding & Managing Stress is a workshop consisting of 1 x 1.5-hour online session. The workshop is hosted by our Recovery Practitioner staff and Support Volunteers, who will guide attendees through presentations focused on stress. The online format will include discussion through group chat, breakout rooms, text chat, and we will allow time for questions. A member of staff will be available on Teams 30 minutes before the start of the sessions to support with any technical difficulties. This workshop is free to attend, and registration is required to join.

  • Anyone in Devon aged 18 years or over is welcome to register for the workshop.

  • Attendance varies, but to keep everyone comfortable we aim for a group size of up to 12. At times this may be slightly less or more dependent on various factors, including room size, available facilitators, and demand for the workshop.
