Mental health is everything: MHAW 2025
This year, Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) will take place from 12—18 May 2025, and the theme, as set by the Mental Health Foundation is community.
Being part of a community is vital for our mental health and wellbeing. Communities can help provide a sense of belonging, safety, and purpose. Having strong connections with others and being a part of a supportive community can help enable us to thrive. This connection can be essential in reminding us that we are not alone in our experiences.
Communities can often make life feel more meaningful and enjoyable, help us feel happier and safer, and improve our overall mental health. However, many of us can often struggle with connecting to those around us for many different reasons, and this can have a negative impact on our wellbeing. Supporting communities and connections is a key focus of our wellbeing activities, which we have been developing over the past year to offer alongside our core mental health support services.
For this year’s MHAW, we are pleased to share that we will be hosting various activities and drop-ins, alongside raising awareness at different locations within our community. Check out the calendar below for more information about joining our wellbeing activities and support groups, and where you will find us across the county. We are looking forward to connecting with as many people as possible throughout the week and can’t wait to share the highlights with you.

Mental health is everything, everywhere, everyone. Join the fight so no mind gets left behind!
Mental health is connected to every little thing we do, every place we go, and every person around us. It’s our physical health, our finances, our relationships. It’s part of our defining moments and the day-to-day. That’s why we need to be talking about it. Why we need to be spreading awareness. And why we need to be reaching as many people in as many places as we can.
Recently, some attitudes to mental health have gone backwards, despite being intertwined in every aspect of modern life. Our decision makers aren’t doing enough to prioritise mental health alongside the other big issues in society. Mental health awareness has never been more important.
We are proud to be supporting the national Mind campaign — join us for this Mental Health Awareness Week, and together we can make sure no mind is left behind.
