To help encourage people to stay on track with their fitness goals during England’s second national lockdown, a local personal trainer is offering customisable workout plans for free. Alex Snell, an online fitness and wellbeing coach, is inviting people to donate to Devon Mind in return for the tailored exercise programmes, which he hopes will support people to improve and maintain their physical wellbeing.

Alex, who grew up in Exeter, wrote to his Instagram followers recently: “I’ve been very busy creating a customisable home workout plan so you can continue training and making progress no matter what equipment you have available.” Explaining the design of the plans, Alex added: “Rather than doing random home workouts you find on Instagram or wherever, these templates give you a structured programme you can follow to make progress. No matter what equipment you have (or don’t have), you’re covered, and you can switch between workouts as you see fit.”

In return for the workout plans, Alex is inviting people to donate to Devon Mind. The trainer and budding model chose to provide the plans for free due to the uncertainty of people’s lives during the COVID-19 pandemic, and opted to support the mental health charity following his own lived experience of depression last year. “I don’t want money to be a reason for people to not work on their goals during this weird time,” he continued on his Instagram Story. “You can donate what you think is a fair price, and if you can afford to donate more, then I’d encourage you to do that!”

If you would like to take advantage of this generous offer and get your own customisable workout plan, simply fill out this Google Form. You can follow Alex on Instagram here: instagram.com/alexsnelll. You can donate to Devon Mind here: donate.devonmind.com.
