Stags generously supports the four local Minds across the South West

Stags recently brought together local businesses, clients, and community supporters for a fantastic series of fundraising efforts, raising an impressive £6,513.78 for local Minds across the South West.

At the heart of their efforts was the “Bid for Mind” charity auction—an online event hosted on Stags’ own platform, making it easy for supporters to get involved. Over five days, bidders competed for a wide range of generously donated prizes, from sporting tickets and countryside stays to cookery courses and family days out, all in support of Devon Mind, Dorset Mind, Cornwall Mind and Mind in Somerset.

Alongside the auction, Stags organised a number of in-person fundraising activities, including bake sales, quiz nights, and even a rounders event, helping to bring communities together while raising vital funds. This campaign is part of the estate agents’ ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves.

Thank you to everyone at Stags who took part and supported the amazing efforts in raising £1,628 for Devon Mind.

With over 150 years in the West Country, Stags is committed to giving back to the communities we serve. Hosting the auction on our own online platform made it simple and accessible for people to get involved, and the response has been outstanding. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support of our professional networks, whose generous donations enable us to raise vital funds for local charities like Devon Mind, Dorset Mind, Cornwall Mind, and Mind in Somerset. Thank you to everyone who took part — every contribution has made a real difference.

80’s night raises an incredible £4,125 for better mental health

Georgia Taylor recently brought her community together for a vibrant 80s-themed fundraising evening, held in loving memory of her mum, Sally. The feel-good event was filled with live music from the Riviera Dogs, fancy dress, and a lively charity raffle to help raise vital funds for both Devon Mind and Cancer Research UK.

Thanks to Georgia’s incredible efforts and the generosity of everyone who attended and supported the event, an amazing £8,430 was raised, with £4,125 donated to Devon Mind. This support will help more people across local communities access essential mental health and wellbeing services.

Reflecting on the evening, Georgia shared:
“The 80s fundraiser was a labour of love that I hosted in memory of my mum, who passed away in February 2025. It meant so much to see our community come together with such generosity, energy, and kindness. Together we raised an incredible £8,430, with half going to support the vital work of Devon Mind and the other half to Cancer Research UK. Knowing that one joyful evening could create something positive from such a difficult time made it incredibly special.”

We’re hugely grateful to Georgia and everyone involved for turning such a meaningful tribute into a lasting impact.

The South Devon Methodist Circuit supports Devon Mind during 2025

The South Devon Methodist Circuit, a group of local churches worshipping in Kingsbridge, Chillington and Hope Cove, kindly chose to support Devon Mind as one of their selected charities throughout their annual fundraising calendar last year. Through a range of community activities, they raised a fantastic £1,600.15 in support of local mental health and wellbeing services.

This generous contribution will help fund another cohort of our popular Chill the Mind, 8-week cold-water swimming course held at Bigbury-on-Sea, designed to support wellbeing, connection, and resilience.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone involved for their support, which will help more people access opportunities to improve their health and wellbeing. More details on the next course will be announced soon.
