Devon Mental Health Alliance Recovery Practitioner

Type: Full-time • Salary: £25,000/pro rata • Location: North Devon • Closing date: When filled

Are you looking for an exciting new role working alongside the Devon First Response Service (FRS) to offer mental wellbeing support? We are currently looking for a full-time Recovery Practitioner to join our latest project within the Devon Mental Health Alliance in North Devon.

About the role:

Recovery Practitioners offer support to people in Devon experiencing a variety of mental health difficulties, working with people to improve their emotional wellbeing and develop additional coping skills, that in turn enable people to work towards their goals and support their recovery.

We are seeking to appoint Recovery Practitioners with the right skills and experience to be at the forefront of developing and delivering support services in partnership with experts by experience, families, carers, and statutory and VCSE agencies — services that will have the best outcomes for people facing significant challenges in their lives. Training is provided, so while applicants will ideally have experience of support work and/or an understanding of relevant interventions to support people with complex needs, we’re keen to hear from people who have transferrable skills and behaviours.

This role entails a range of responsibilities, from delivering one-to-one emotional support, facilitating psychoeducational courses and support groups, and liaising with colleagues from a range of different organisations. You will play a pivotal role in working alongside people with mental health challenges to help them navigate their own journey to recovery and positive mental wellbeing.
